Fenella demonstrating a handstand on Trapeze
Fenella - Handstand

The trapeze is a classic piece of circus apparatus. It consists of two ropes and a bar. Here at Luna we teach the static trapeze and dance trapeze (rigged to a swivel). Flying trapeze can be done at larger circus schools in London and Bristol.

Participants will learn to manipulate the bar and the ropes, to make shapes, sequences and drops, following the Luna syllabus. Trapeze will get you super fit and strong. No prior experience necessary. Absolute beginners are welcome. There are opportunities to perform in studio shows and at external events, as well as participate in competitions, no pressure is put on an individual to do this.

We have dedicated classes for children (see Junior specialisation). Trapeze also forms part of our junior programme.
